Dear colleagues,
The WHO Office on Quality of Care and Patient Safety in Athens, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is pleased to announce a training programme organised under the project “Enhancing Primary Healthcare System in Greece by strengthening Accessibility, Quality, and Sustainability” (3PH).

The programme, titled “Interdisciplinary training for PHC teams in Greece: improving the quality of person-centred care to address priority NCDs,” aims to strengthen the capacity of primary health care (PHC) professionals to work effectively as interdisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, integrated care.
The training will take place over five days in Athens, from 18 to 22 May 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 (venue details and detailed programme to be shared with participants).
Each day is dedicated to a specific theme:
- Monday, 18 May — Tobacco cessation in the context of PHC
- Tuesday, 19 May — Hypertension and diabetes in the context of PHC
- Wednesday, 20 May — Physical activity in the context of PHC
- Thursday, 21 May — Motivational interviewing in the context of PHC
- Friday, 22 May — Nutrition and obesity in the context of PHC
Participants may register for any individual day based on their professional role, interests, and availability, or attend the full five-day programme.

Important information
- Application deadline: 8 May 2026 or until maximum capacity is reached.
- Maximum capacity: 50 participants per day.
- Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered.
